- Breakthrough Award - Plaque and a $100.00 merchandise gift certificate for Breakthrough - The judge’s Choice Best of Show Award should be selected by all judges, by mutual agreement, from any of the first place entries in the competition. Any entry not earning a first place is not eligible.
- Wasco Award - Award and a $100.00 merchandise gift certificate for WASCO – The most artistic entry chosen by all judges.
- TASCO - Award and $100 Merchandise Check - Award is judged by friends and peers through special ballot voting
- The Polytranspar Award - Engraved plaque and a $50.00 merchandise gift certificate for WASCO - Awarded to the highest scoring fish in the competition which was painted with polytranspar paint
- Competitor’s Challenge Award - $250.00 Cash For Each Division- You may enter any three mounts in any category (they can be the same category) – There is a professional and Masters division – The judges will choose the winner. It is not base on scores.
- The McKenzie Taxidermy Supply Distinguished Service Award - A plaque of recognition and a $100.00 merchandise gift certificate from McKenzie - Any member, in good standing, with their state association, who has done the most during the past year to Promote professionalism in his/her business, Advance the art of taxidermy, Depict taxidermy and hunting in a positive image, Share knowledge of taxidermy techniques, Improve the quality of his/her taxidermy work, Promote the goals of the state association.

- Starfish Award - awarded to the best reproduction fish at the competition.
- Virginia Trappers Association Award - awarded to the best furbearer at the competition.
- Horizon Award - Awarded to the best youth mount in the competition.
- Presidents Award – Awarded to the best life size bobcat in the competition.
- Golden Example Award – Sponsored by Home and Heart Health Inc. - Artist must be at least age 60 on date of competition and competition entry must have been completely developed not more than one year before date of judging.
- Best of Group Award - Award of recognition donated by Earl Lindsey – Award to the best mount with two or more entries on one mount.
- Van Dyke Award – Most Original mount in the competition.
